Almost the End
Almost the EndBy Brittany Bousquet
New London Main Street Intern
August 3, 2012
Its hard to believe how fast the past ten weeks have gone by, and its even harder to believe that my internship here at New London Main Street is almost over. Next week will be my last week.
The office has been pretty quiet since my last blog. I have a couple of articles that Im working on and hoping to post soon, and I have one or two other ideas. Ive also been engrossed in life at the office, helping to answer the phones and ensure that everything runs smoothly.
Rebecca and I had an opportunity earlier this week to go around downtown New London and look at many of the murals that have been painted around town. We were able to see about half of the murals that are up, and all of them were astounding. Each one was different from the last both in subject matter and painting style, but all of them made Rebecca and myself stop and stare. I had lots of fun posing with the murals for different pictures, and Rebecca took some truly fantastic pictures.
Earlier this week I posted an article featuring Sabrina Olenik of Crazy Beautiful Portraits, and another article featuring Barbara Ford of CONNfetti. I also have a dessert article in the works as well as one or two other articles that should be posted soon. Be sure to keep an eye out for them, as well as my final blog which will be posted next week.
If you have an opportunity to visit the New London Historic Waterfront District, be sure to take advantage of it. The District is home to a multitude of wonderful restaurants, an abundance of shops to visit, and no limit of activities to partake in.
