Interviews and Festivities

It’s hard to believe that I’ve been at New London Main Street for about six weeks, and it’s equally hard to believe that my internship is about halfway over. In the six weeks that I’ve been at Main Street, I’ve gotten to do a lot of cool things, meet a lot of great people and explore the wonderful downtown New London. I can’t wait to see what the rest of my internship brings.

Beyond being stunned by how fast my internship is flying by, life at Main Street has been keeping me busy. Joanne asked me to be the featured intern for June/July’s issue of Volunteer Vibes, so for a change I was the one being interviewed instead of the one giving the interview. Then I had the privilege of interviewing Gloria Sinopoli, a volunteer who will be featured in the same e-Newsletter. I also had the opportunity to sit down with Kelly Hulse, owner of Y-Knot Café and New London’s newest eatery, Kelly’s on the Bank. Look for all of these articles in the upcoming issue of Volunteer Vibes.

I uploaded this week’s Dessert feature article on Muffins to the website – check it out!

New articles are in the works – you’ll learn more about these next week.

And finally, don't forget that both OpSail and Sailfest are this wekeend in New London. These are just two more wonderful reasons to come visit New London's Historic Waterfront District.
