Bike Fest is a free event, and all are welcome!

Come celebrate bicycles and bike transportation down on New London's historic Waterfront Park. The main purpose is to promote bicycling as a mode of transportation by hosting activities that increase commmunity participiation and awareness of bicycling. Whether you ride everyday, on the weekend, or just always wanted to try it out, Bike Fest has an event for you.

• Free Bicycle repair and tune up workshop
• Bike decoration (for kids & adults!)
• Children's Bike Rodeo and Safety Demonstration
• Custom bike show featuring Rat Rod Bikes
• Introduction to the NL Bike Share program
• Family friendly group bike tour of New London's historic sites, begins at 2:30

Food and fun for kids of all ages! EMS Sports and other local bike technicians will be present at the show to help with your bike repair questions.

At the end of Bike Fest we have planned out a Historic New London bike ride, with stops at several of New London's most significant museum and historic sites. This is an easy ride, about 2.5 miles, with no hills involved. Riders will be able to visit the Shaw Mansion, Hempstead Houses, Fort Trumbull, and US Custom House.


Bike Fest will take place on City Pier at the New London Waterfront Park at 46 Waterfront Park, New London.
