Garde Arts Center Presents An Evening with Kathy Mattea
Share |
Two-time Country Music Association Female Vocalist of the Year Kathy Mattea returns to the Garde to feature her 2012 album Calling Me Home celebrating the folk music and culture of Appalachia. Mattea has collected fifteen consecutive top-ten hits and four number-one singles on the country charts from 1986 to 1991. Her Grammy-nominated 2008 release, Coal, was her first step toward discovering the vast trove of Appalachian music, much of it influenced by Celtic and English traditions. Mattea will also perform her radio hits, such as "Eighteen Wheels and a Dozen Roses," "Goin' Gone," and the Grammy-winning "Where've You Been?"
