ARTFARM's Circus for a Fragile Planet
Imagine a circus in which actors juggle bottled water, polar bears dance on melting ice floes, the props and set are recycled, and the core of clowns are called the Fossil Fools. That's part of what you get in ARTFARM's Circus for a Fragile Planet, a brand-new educational circus performance appropriate for all ages, featuring juggling, clowning, physical comedy, acrobatics, unicycling, and other circus arts, built around a strong environmental message.
Grumbling Gryphons
Winner of the 2003 Connecticut Commission on the Arts Governor's Arts Award, Grumbling Gryphons has enchanted and delighted audiences throughout the world for nearly twenty-five years. Known for their fantastic masks, captivating costumes, and joyful interaction with children, their multicultural, mythological, and environmental stories teach the hearts, minds, and imaginations of children and adults alike. The New York Times calls Grumbling Gryphons "a magical weave of storytelling, music, mythology and masks" and Patricia Forrest, publisher of New Plays Inc., calls them "one of the most innovative and inspirational participation troupes in the United States".
Sirius Coyote
Giovanni Ciarlo, Kathleen Sartor, and Dennis Waring make up this acclaimed group of musicians dedicated to environmental awareness and bridging the gap between cultures and musical styles of the Americas. They blend Latin, Folk, Pre-Columbian, Afro, and Jazz influences to create a sound entirely their own in an exciting performance of traditional and original music. Sirius Coyote performs on over 30 musical instruments including unusual instruments handcrafted by the artists themselves.
Free Men of the Sea
Free Men of the Sea's programs are most amusing, interesting, and enlightening. They bring the world of the pirate, both fact and fiction, to you through audience interaction, artifacts demonstrations, and song—without the hazard o' a hangin! Best o' all, they programs are taylor-fit to meet the needs and requirements of various promotions, sales, festivals, seminars, and historical events.
Balloon Platoon
Balloon Platoon offers a full line of balloon services, including balloon decor, balloon deliveries, special effects (balloon drops, balloon releases, dissolving walls, etc.), and entertainment for any occasion.
